OOTD: NYFW

Hey guys! I think one thing I hated about my whole NYFW experience was finding something to wear! Because you want to be original, and trendy but not look like you tried to hard. I wanted to look effortless and chic. I think I did it! I would love creating more clean-cut looks similar to this style. Simplicity is always best. That and a bold lip.

I wish I had more photos of this fit but I was by myself and a good samaritan took this photo for me (along with many, many outtakes). Another struggle I came across was trying to look good and keeping warm at the same time! Temperatures are hitting single digits and all I really wanted to do was put on my North Face but I knew I had to choose an outfit that would allow easy layering. This oversized button-up (H&M, $29.95) was perfect for this. It's got a bit of a boyfriend fit, with loose fitting sleeve and a roomy torso. I had about 3 shirts layered under there! And to think this baby was going to get returned! I bought it assuming it was a shirt dress, but it looked a little awkward on me. I'm glad I kept it! I plan on putting it away until the Spring/Summer. I wore the button up with a pair of Boyfriend jeans (Gap, $69.95). Originally, I was going to pair it with a slimmer fitting jean, but that would've really made the top look like a dress. I wanted the top, to look like a top! Also, a slimmer jean would hinder me from layering underneath. I'm so very glad I have my wool long coat (Thrifted, $12.99) it transitions so well from casual to runway (literally!). I wore my olive green wool fedora and black tote (H&M) to accessorize. My "Koraa" booties (Steve Madden $169.00) saved my life! The last thing I wanted was bare ankles and a stiletto to pretend I was comfortable in! They're a perfect height to add the extra "pow!" to any outfit. And of course nothing says "unbothered" more than me in my Ray-Bans,

Thats all folks! Thanks for reading!!
