Outfit of the Day!

Hey everyone! Winter has most definitely come in full force and is showing no mercy! We've had some fridgid temperatures so once the temperature hit 30, I saw a chance to put something together for you guys!  Today's OOTD has been borrowed from the boys! I love my skirts and dresses, but i also love a great boyish look! I think girls look just as good guys in a pleated pant and tailored shirt! Anything boys can do, girls can do better!

Today's fit included a hounds-tooth black and white pleated trouser (thrifted), and a white tailored shirt (Gap). One thing I love about men's fashion is that guys don't need a lot to look well put together. No necklaces, or earrings, just clothes. To pull off a similar look, stay away from form fitting clothes. Men's clothes are tailored to fit, not accentuate curves like womens clothes do. A lot of vintage womens clothing have an a androgynous look to them. There's a lot of masculinity in the long trench coats, huge shoulder pads, and of course pleated trouser.

I wore a black wool coat (thrifted) to keep the boyish look going. I accessorized with a black skinny belt (H&M), an olive green wool fedora (H&M), with a matching "Selma" tote by Michael Kors. I could've worn a heel with this ensemble to add a touch of femininity, but I decided to wear a pair of black suede flats (H&M). One thing about men's fashion is that comfort is always at the top of their list! You don't get that luxury in 4 inch pumps.

Thanks for reading!
