OOTD: The Workweek Blues

The weekends just end too soon. You spend all week thinking about the weekend (not unless you work retail), the weekend comes and before you finish your bottomless mimosa its already time to prepare for the following workweek. I had the Workweek Blues. So when I didn't know what to wear today, I chose denim. I love love love denim! Nothing is better than all denim on the days you're feeling blue. An all denim ensemble is an easy way to look super fashionable without anyone knowing you got dressed in 2.5 minutes. Today's denim fit features a blast from the past and some help from the boys.

These jeans are thrifted vintage Gap denim.

They were such a steal (3 dollars!) high-waisted, slight acid wash detail, and a tapered leg, these jeans fit like a glove! I'm still trying to find out what year they're from, I checked the tags and style numbers and haven't found out yet. But judging from the quality and print of the logo, I'm going to say the 90s. I just thank whoever gave these away because I'm never letting go of these babies! On top I wore a Gap Men's denim western shirt. I wanted an oversized look, but large women's sizes just looked.....large. A size small Men's top fit just right. There's nothing a rolled sleeve can't fix!

Usually I might've worn a classic pointed pump, or white sneakers for a dressed down look (both can still be done if you're thinking of recreating this look) but I chose to go with these funky lace up pumps by Alexander Wang. Denim on denim is like a second skin to me so I thought these shoes were just what I needed to add some jazz to this outfit. I like sticking to the script so this was definitely something new! To match the shoes, I wore this thrifted Liz Claiborne cross body wallet/pouch. Clearly thrifting is life!
