Cozy For The Win!

Theres no debate that cozy/lounge/leisurewear was the biggest trend that came out of 2020. As mentioned in my Top 10 Trending Topics of 2020 countdown series, because most of us spent our time working, living, and even partying from home, retailers had no choice but to give us looks to help us be as comfortable as possible doing so.

If you’re an old friend of Her Neck Of The Woods, you know that cozy isn’t really my thing. Send me where the clasps fasten and the heels click please! But sooner than later, even I had to join the wave. I’m proud to admit that your girl has gathered for herself quite the sneaker collection over the past year. I’m no one’s hypebeast but I’m definitely proud of my sneakerhead progress. My favorite cop of the year are these Japan Air Jordan 1s.

Air Jordan 1s have always been a coveted silhouette from Day 1’s to newbies in the sneaker game. I cant lie, it’s a good looking sneaker that can easily be elevated with the right styling. I loved these AJ1s because I knew the masses wouldn’t go flocking toward it which meant the resell price wouldn’t be too bad, and I wouldn’t have what everyone else was rocking.

I wanted to have a little fun with my kicks so I paired them with Visionary Society’s nylon track pants and their Womens History Month tee honoring THE Serena Williams. Because I’m a lady, I kept it super femme with my pink teddy coat I got over the holiday from Target.
