Dance Afrika!

The Dance Afrika Festival was held in Brooklyn for another year over the holiday weekend and of course it was a vibe! With my Memorial Weekend plans down the drain, the last thing I wanted to do was stay home. Music, food, art, and beautiful black people sounds like a recipe for a great day!

I didnt want to pull out any peices that I planned to wear on vacation so I grabbed a few staple pieces. This is why i prefer not to shop on trend, I would hate to have a closet filled with clothes that are out of date! (first world problems or nah?

I blew the dust off these white Gap jeans and they still fit like a glove!! Gap's True Skinny jeans always accentuate your curves, and this off the shoulder top from Necessary Clothing will always be a great idea. I got this beautiful seashell necklace from H&M about 2 years ago. Take good care of your accessories people! I promised to experiment with colors so instead of grabbing a brown purse I opted for this yellow clutch, and instead of a nude shoe, I wore olive green CARRSON pumps by Steve Madden. I spent hours walking around with no complaint! I was pleasantly surprised - you know SM shoes have a bad rep when it comes to comfort!

I hope you guys love this looks as much as I do. Thanks for reading!
